I'm new to poetry soup. Thanks to all who have responded to my submissions. I suppose I'm going to take the plunge and go for the strong critique section although probably will bruise my thin skin. cie la vive (or something). I love words, phrases, the combination of sounds, of elegant and graceful use of metaphor, of expressing thoughts, ideas in unique ways - in fact it goes deeper than that; I'm in awe of those who have the ability, the facility, the mobility to express themselves in poetry. The only true way to say the truth, to leap tall buildings in a single bound, to freedom, to express, to laugh out loud at the world, to bring to life all the truths and un truths we can possibly imagine then to dig deeper, face the nightmare, bell the cat, toss the horse shoe on the stake and embrace all who understand. and embrace all those who do not understand.For that is the life of the poet.
