Contest Description
This is my first premier contest. As some of you are aware, I have philosophical issues concerning forced & inflexible hierarchies when applied to subjective entities, especially arts such as poetry, but I wanted to give this a try.
The only rule for this contest is I don’t want poems that placed from any of my previous contests. You can enter a poem that received an NA in my past contests due to a rule violation. There have been several poems in the past that I really liked, but they were NA due to a rule violation.
All my contest results are stored in a database, so if you are not sure and want to know, soupmail me and I can give you a list of past entries in my contests. DO NOT soupmail me with the title of the poem you are considering to enter, just email me asking for a report of your past entries. This way, I will not know your current consideration is yours.
Keep this in mind, the 10 poems chosen will be based on appeal (which is almost completely dictated by style, not topic driven or affected by social factors). So if you have a history of placing mid to low range with me, you will probably not place in this contest.
