Henry Wadsworth Longfellow February 27, 1807—March 24, 1882 was an American poet whose works include “Paul Revere’s Ride”, “The Song of Hiawatha” and “Evangeline”. In 1884 Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was the first and only American poet for whom a commemorative sculpted bust was placed in Poet’s Corner of Westminster Abbey in London.

Poets’ Corner is the name traditionally given to a section of Westminster Abbey due to the number of poets, playwrights and writers buried and commemorated there.
