    Oldest of five brothers, I was the one who got away with everything. Spent thirty years as a Navy Reservist. People say I'm a little crazy. Thank God, normal people lead mundane lives. My greatest love is kids and I spend weekends working with abused kids with psychiatric problems almost always created by adult animals. I like music, mostly country and early rock. Married for forty years (my wife will be given the Medal of Honor) and have four kids, a 36 and 35 year old and two 23 year olds. The twins are a boy and girl. Including me, my wife has five. Got 5 grand kids. I'm big on amusement parks and would work for Mickey and Donald any day. I've seen a lot of the world (14 countries) and definitely miss the travelling with the Navy. I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer. I love this planet, so I'm going to stay awhile. I do believe war could be a necessity only in defense of your country and not as an excuse to prospect for oil. I believe that if there is any honesty or integrity in Washington, the guy is in the wrong city. People I most admire include Jimmy Carter, JFK and Billly Graham. I'm pro-life and anti- political correctness. I think the problem with political jokes is that most of them get elected.

Dear Vincent - I will most definitely keep your Dad in my prayers. After reading Karen Feist's blog (posted by Mr. Berg) and now reading your own - concerning the passing of your father - I truly am at a loss for words. In all honesty, I'm quite sure you inherited many wonderful traits from your father. You're witty, spirited, kind-hearted, intelligent and a sincere, caring individual. I lost my Dad 6 years ago, sometimes I cry when I think about him - but almost all the time, I feel his presence around me and am so comforted - (my private guardian angel watching over me). I am very sorry for your loss, Vince. I am certain your day was a wonderful person as you are. Please accept my deepest sympathies. There's no consolation when we lose a dear one, but God is the comforter and His loving kindness is infinite. All my prayers are with you and with your family. Sorrow is a part of our living, so we must cope with it when tragedy strikes, but take heart and continue remembering him as he was in real life....keep alive those indelible memories, and have faith that some day you'll be together once again with him. I have had three family losses and I know how painful it is to go through a period of grieving. Your dad is in the most peaceful place you can ever imagine, and he is smiling upon you to let you know that is with God and His angels! I hope I have alleviate some of your sorrow by giving hope and strength to go through this very sad time. God bless you for your kind and loving heart. Hugs and love, Andrew.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Vince, and will include your father in my prayers. I know this must be a difficult time for you, but from your bio I see you have family who can offer support. Having lost my Dad last winter, I know it will take some time to recover from the loss. Writing poetry helped me; maybe it can provide an outlet for you as well. Please accept my condolences.
