<P>Hello to all my friends at Poetrysoup~</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I needed to stop by and say THANKS to everyone who has messaged &amp; emailed me about my daughters condition.&nbsp; She recently went through a serious respiratory infection that was very difficult to treat due to her heart condition.&nbsp; She is recovering and is almost 100%.&nbsp; Still her fiesty, energetic, beautiful, exciting self.&nbsp; To answer the big question many have asked...her surgery will be the first week of June.&nbsp; I can't give an educated guess about her recovery because they really won't know until the actually get in there and see the extent of the defect on her heart.&nbsp; We have met with the entire surgical team and are very pleased with them and their commitment to caring for our little girl.&nbsp; </P> <P>TO VINCE:&nbsp; Hey buddy...just wanted to let you know that I am currently working for the PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES....I thought you'd get a kick outta that.&nbsp; It's alot of fun but...I'm just waiting for the police dept's to start hiring again and I'll be on my way.</P> <P>Again...THANK YOU ALL for your wonderful and warm support...hopefully I will be posting again soon and joining you all again regularly.&nbsp; As you can imagine my focus has been off writing and on family.&nbsp; </P> <P>My best to you all &amp; God Bless,</P> <P>Charlie</P> <P>&nbsp;</P>

As usual, my timing was off and I went to visit my daughter in Largo on April 3, right after they went back to Philly, hopefully to start a habit of collecting pennants. Sometimes the waiting is the hardest part, but like we all know, today's medicine is a miracle, and the wonderful things that can be done are truly amazing. I'm glad to hear you have confidence and a good attitude...please keep us updated, God Bless her through the surgery and recovery, and may He keep your worrisome hearts at peace. As I look over at my 6 year old daughter the thought just boggles my mind - The advancements in medicine are truly amazing and I feel being a feisty, energic person will be to her full advantage.
