My daughter could use a prayer ot two...

<P>Merry Christmas Soup Family~</P> <P>Sorry I haven't been on for a while.&nbsp; About a month ago my 7 year old daughter collapsed in school.&nbsp; After some tests it was determined that she has a defect in her heart and will require surgery.&nbsp; It's been very hard for all of us, we haven't told her everything so whe won't panic about what's to come.&nbsp;I just can't picture a little one as full of life and love as&nbsp;my girl needing&nbsp;such a serious surgery.&nbsp; As you all head to spend time with your family I ask that you may remember my daughter in your holiday prayers that she will make a quick, full, and fast recovery.&nbsp; No 7 year old should have to have heart surgery,&nbsp; Thanks to you all and my very best wishes for a Merry Christmas to you&nbsp; all and your families.&nbsp; &nbsp;</P>

Yes, Charles my prayers are with you and your family and hope that you have a warm Christmas even with the pending surgery. They are able to do wonderful things today and I'm sure your daughter will come out of this ready to run and play again and having a good 2009 !!

There's no worse feeling in the world than when your child is sick. She has youth on her side. I'm sure she'll come through with flying colors. Try not to let the stress age you too much. My son had surgery at the age of two and I swear I aged 10 years in the waiting room. God will see her through this. I know everyone on the Soup will be praying for her & your family. Bless your family during this frightening time. My two youngest grandchildren are just the same age as your little girl, so I can't even imagine your distress. I am assured that all will be fine, that she will be in good hands, with so many modern miracles in medicine today, but yet I can understand your worry and fear and the unfairness of someone so little and sweet going through this ordeal. You bet...so many prayers will be sent your way, I hope she can catch them all. May the blessing of her good health and recovery be your gift this season of love. God Bless...Carrie

Charles, my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry..they do such amazing heart surgery now I am hopeful that she will be just fine. About a year ago my son collapsed while jogging..was on a respirator for a week and now has an implanted defibrilator and lead in his heart. Every day I am filled with fear for him but hes doing well, Have faith..my thoughts are with you. BG

Dear Charles - I am quite sure you will have all our best wishes and prayers. I am so glad I had the oppurtunity/company of getting to know you this year. Although I'm not the most pious Catholic boy in the world, I will certainly keep you, your daughter and everyone in your family in my prayers.
