happy hello, dear soupers! …my, all of you created amazing wreaths and the decision for spots was very difficult for me to handle…though this form required that, ” ideally, a wreath closes itself by using the first word of the poem again at the end of the poem”, i based my winning list on basic but proper use of form, originality, poetic mood, and flow of content…

this was one of those times i wish i had more spots to award as each one of these poems shined in its own beauty…some leeway was granted to those i felt used English as a second language… fair enough?

thank you all for your support and inspiration… it was a delight for me to have contacted a few for clarifications… more than this, thanks to those who likewise “ soupied” me to check rules of the contest…

as always, my selection and arrangements of the finalists were according to my subjective judgment… others will have a different view of the relative merits of each entry…

i therefore encourage you to read all of the entries, make your own judgments and leave your thoughts about the poem with the poet.

congrats to you all entrants and winners!... i’ll be back for another spree; come and join!

ahhh, cyn my heartie... you always come up with creative ideas... i kinda got hooked on this form the way you mentioned its dynamnics--how fluid can it get!.. your piece was a standout.. and yes, a wreath sonnet.. gawwd, that's a tad difficult but challenging... bring it on.. you always shine!..:) huggs!

I thank you, hon, for the placement in your contest, but I'm just as thrilled to have been shown this wonderful form! I so enjoyed playing with words, the way they both travel the same stream, but --like a pebble dropped in a pond--- ripple outward. This is similar to Debbie's etcetera form. I plan to explore this more. I'd even like to try a 14 liner-- a wreath sonnet (which I am sure has been done before) Now, I will need to really work up a lather to work a wreath that has a rhyme pattern and a volta and a summary that swings back to the poems beginning. LOL. Dare me? LOL.maybe I'm wicked enough to dare YOU. Hmm.. maybe I'm such a pratt that I could tap about a dozen soup sonneteers..
