Oh Crap. They did it. I typed in a comment here and I think the aliens took it away, confiscated it or whatever you call it! gee. Maybe what I typed in here was too classified. Phooey. they did it in the guise of an uber slow connection and when I validated my captcha, it went soo slow, it was gone, *poof* just like that. Maybe because I was talking about getting all poofed up, having tackled UFOs the entire day, with my sister digging holes in the garden so we could bury them. Maybe the aliens didn't read my post properly since I clarified that UFO's (accdg to my sister meant Unidentified Frozen Objects) although UDO's would be more apt, since our fridge zonked out on us & they were actually already Unidentified Defrosted Objects already. Anyway, don't mind me, I am just in a corny state right now, with the fumes and all. Ok...good, this time around the comment went through.

Another little problem I have is this 'comment to get comments' business...I guess in a perfect world we would all simply enjoy each other's poetry and if we felt like saying so, go for it!...I go through spells of writer's block and don't log on to the Soup and of course, No comment! Of course, some of my good and faithful friends ALWAYS comment if only on older stuff...Am I just being naive and silly here?

Tim, I post anywhere from 2 - 5 poems a month. That never stops me from keeping myself active on the soup. Right now, I'm in my own little world... nothing wrong in being silly.... it works for me

I always follow my heart..Many times i check 'new poems list'.Other times i get to those poets i like reading..Usually these are poets that have read my poems and i read theirs or even if they dnt read mine..if i like their poems i still visit.Other times i visit new poets..that how it goes for me.I dmt always read their latest but which title attracts my eye.The circle is always getting bigger but my time remains limited.When i stop commentimg ..yep i have a decrease in comments.Maybe human needs to in.Jiteract with the persona not just a writing.Just my opinion..goodnight Tim

pd there must be something going wrong re views at least mine i guess..I nearly never reply beneath comment but thank the persona for stopping by my poems whilst im commenting on theirs..I dont visit as much poems as i used to in the first two yrs i joined ps and latest views are 500 and 800 approx..What is more strange that going back about two yrs..I had an opeless senseless senryu called hush hush baby and it got two thousand three hundred forthy eight views..Plus on my homepage i have about 1300shares..Who cares to share my homepage so many times?Its weird and unrealistic..I guess it might be somethimg wrong in d system.What do you think?To be honest i think d comments r more realistic?

Hi Tim...It must be something with the system i believe..but i guess it ain t doing any harm...I do care more about comments than views..Its the comments which encourage me to contimue writimg..Knowing that somebody cared enough to spend five mins of his time reading my poem..Supporting it or critisizing it..Its what makes me write better in tomorrow.I do believe your poems are great..Many of which entertaining and others so real..Keep writing

Like my poem called ""I Wish"" never read it.. never will... I wrote the poem after my grandson passed. I never want to feel that poem. Another poem I will never read is my poem called "Letting Go." I was angered when writing the poem.

Lady, at one time i enjoyed replying to a few comments on my poem. Then I noticed a large jump in one sitting. I don't know why the soup can't filter out our views and allow only one view per visitor no matter how many times that visitor or visitors clicks on the poem. accidental or purposely.

Linda - I remember you telling me about the 'views' trick that some people pull (Not accusing Chris here!) And like I told you, who the hell CARES about the number of views??? It's the comments that matter! I rarely get over the century mark when it comes to views! So what???...I got another thing to bitch about here...People who don't comment at all I am very cool with, but a few will NOT comment until you comment on their's first...I think that is egocentric to say the least...I used to comment on one such poet who would say a few words about mine, and then proceed to ramble on and on about his/her own poem! Gimmie a break...
