Forgive and Forget - Gareth James's Blog

<PRE>Thinking this world was turning a new leaf Reading a poem that turned to disbelief How can I read such a praising word? To a term of phrase that shouldn't be heard. Don’t think I am sheltered in my life Care and teach, don’t cut with a knife!! Disappointed to say the least Embrace, even people from the east I know a word doesn’t amount to discrimination But lead us God, not in to temptation. Educate the world to be a united place No matter, what ever colour, creed and even race Many views that upset have me so Feeling my soul cry, I just want to up and go I’m here on the Soup for great inspiration But I may have to leave, for lack of admiration I may have it wrong, for that I hope If thats the case, I will wash my mouth out with soap! But, forgive and forget, and a second chance My motto that is, and never give it a second glance</PRE><PRE>&nbsp;</PRE><PRE>Bless everyone, and forgive and lets forget</PRE>

James Peranteau Date: 3/26/2010 7:00:00 PM Ya know Gareth...I've heard several times the forgive thingy here, yet, I think the forgiving part is leading many in the wrong dirrection. That forgetting thingy...if trully any soul wants to consider the spec, or the shaft...here is where we start. We are naturally built to forgive...why waist our precious time on forgiveness...its a gimmie ! Work on forgetting,..I see here there is an issue with you so I suggest that you concentrate on the excelent gift you have ...ART ! Gareth James Date: 3/26/2010 12:39:00 PM Andrea, that is an interesting point, Easy to forgive but hard to forget!!! Perhaps it's NOT good to forget? I suppose that is how we learn and develop. Good point. Constance, you have also made a great point. I am guilty of not forgiving and forgetting. It's a state of mind, and sometimes you can't let yourself forgive even if you want to. I have forgiven easily all my life; however, It's more difficult to keep the past from influencing one's thoughts. But if we can just not let our feelings get in the way of how we act with people, I think that is the step toward forgetting! LUv, Andrea Login to Reply

I haven't mastered this quality yet, but I'm working on it. "Care and teach, don't cut with a knife" says so much, Gareth. That's why we join sites like this -- to learn and grow from new friends.
