Serious Work Pays Off Kinda [Aol hack, uh huh] - Debbie Guzzi's Blog

Serious work LOL, we all know most of the world does not take poetry or poets seriously BUT we take ourselves serious YES! Our PS poets trying to publish group is moving on ahead. To date we have Catie Lindsey, Dane Ann Smith-Johnson, Deb Burch, Joann Grisetti, Vicki Tsiluma, Yesha Shaw, Yasmin Khan and I. Joann is very busy writing to beat the band, taking classes and submitting works to magazine publishers. Our Catie-Did is up to her waist in alligators writing a BOOK, when needed we help her dot the i's and cross the t's. Dane-Ann taking a break from publishing her own books!!! on Amazon is writing a verse a day and intends to submit for publication soon. Deb Burch is doing great, she and vicki send text files from their phones [WOW to modern for me!] Yassie writes when she can since family takes a lot of her time. Yesha is another one of our dynamo's! She breathes verse and I hope to see ALL of the gals published somewhere soon.

I have had two verses chosen for publication in the Fall Issue of Inclement Magazine. I'm afraid there's no pay on this one. But its a lovely Magazine and Published in the United Kingdom. The UK, Western Europe and the Middle East are much more into poetry than the USA.

Please CONSIDER BUYING A COPY..especially the Fall Issue lol ;) ;)

One of the verses selected was a Sijo and one was Free Verse, both with natural themes and this Magazine unlike many others accepts Literary work ie: form verse [which would include those with rhyme]

I have found an excellent way to keep track of my new verses and submissions, a paid site [only $5 a month] called Duotrope. It is like having The Poets or Writers Market at your fingertips AND since you enter every submission in it, it keeps track for you of what you sent where!

If anyone wants any help doing this on there own let me know,
I'm always glad to share.

That's great you are in Inclement. It does not sound like a vanity press and that's what you want. excellent info on the place that is similar to Poet's Market.
