River Lily sways along the glassy shore,
Mournful of regrets, dire evermore,
Supple petals a solemn azure blue,
A cruel lover plucked a heart askew.
The willows bow as if to infinitely weep,
Cleaving to her beauty in everlasting sleep.
A soul scarred by accursed heartbreak,
She drowns in sorrow within the rolling wake.
A river rocks her gently with comfort I assume,
To immortalize an everlasting bloom.
Though her tears usher winter's chill,
Briny drops frozen to hinder what wilt spill.
O how she yearns for summer's embrace,
The solstice sun warms her lovely face.
She dreams of love upon the golden shine,
I long for Lily, once her heart was mine.
