Gazing out of my window
at delightful verdant scene,
I might declare my favorite
is springtime’s vibrant green.

Then looking at the bright sky,
I might change to azure blue,
for I wouldn’t want a green sky
as I’m sure neither would you.

Asking me to choose a color
is like asking favorite child,
for it truly is their differences
that keep me so beguiled.

At sunrise and at sunset
God melds colors all together
and subtracts all but the grayness
when we have our stormy weather.

Nature’s colors are all gorgeous,
and I dare not disrespect them.
God knows where to dip each paint brush
In magnificence of spectrum.
