Spring

Written by: POETESS DARKLY

A robin flew by one cold blustery day,
Exonerating vast heavens of gloomy gray.
She builds a nest in the highest tree,
Soon she longs for an extended family.
Bestowing each egg, the color of sky,
Hovering over chicklets with a watchful eye.
Buds eager to burst into luscious leaves,
Rustle in tune with the magic she weaves
Warm showers awaken the stasis land,
Gifting mother-nature a helping hand.
Flowers stir and stretch to the beaming sun,
Bespangling grass where there was none.
blowhard winds like an impassioned kiss,
Ushering hearts into the perpetual bliss.
Lover's pair off pursuant of a fling,
while a robin serenades another spring.
