Shades Of Hope

Written by: Gail Angel Doyle

~Shades of Hope~ From time to time it seems that grey is all we see The rays of radiant light we just can’t seem to reach Perhaps it is the overflowing of tears that come down as we try to cope Blocking the rays of light, blocking the shades of hope We have to find the strength from within even if it’s not much To reach over to the of light of Jesus and ask for his loving touch His shoulder will always be there for our tears to fall Bringing on the sunshine to show the shades of hope to us all A rainbow of hope is not always painted up in the sky It appears deep within our souls if we ask Jesus to be at our sides It doesn’t take much to see a sign of his presence being there For shades of hope he designed are placed everywhere For the colors of the earth already display his window of hope All in perfect spectrum that exists in heaven’s rainbow Today might be hard for some of us to pull ourselves through Though tomorrow we have to remember that the sun will still be shining for me and you Shades of hope are painted by God’s hands Reminding us that once again that he understands The meaning of our tears and where they fall Resting onto his shoulder where he will carry them all…
