Beckoning me

Written by: Seren Roberts

The garden gate gently calls out to me
Blowing in the breeze like a young girls dress
Showing to me the unobtainable
So many emotions I must suppress.

Freedom calls beckoning me to follow
Fingers curved in, teasing me to go on
Shall I shan't I decisions to be made
What's out there making me wish to be gone

Is it the promise of a special meal
Or a day in the health spa to look good
Guess its none of these things that makes me feel
Like escaping through that gate by the wood

It's the Sales bargains to be got
Must go now or I will miss the lot.
