Taken Away

Written by: Gail Angel Doyle

Taken Away If suddenly our sleep was taken away Would our bodies still be able to live in a dream? Having the energy of welcoming a new day Without ever absorbing another night’s sleep If suddenly our vision was take away Would our eyes still capture its memories? Of imprints of beauty that came our way Without ever having another chance to see If suddenly the beating of our hearts was taken away Would our hearts still be able to find a way to live? Would it be able to still exist through the love it embraced? And how much left it had to give
