Autumn Time

Written by: Owen Yeates

A nother round of seasons is coming to a close
U nder stormy skies leaves fall round my toes
T winkling stars abound as the nights draw in
U nderneath the moon I watch them with a grin
M any animals get ready to hibernate a while
N utrition they are gathering making quite a pile
T hey all sleep so soundly through the winter cold
I nvariably waking in spring so we are told
M e I love the autumn all the different shades of brown
E yes wide open in its beauty I could drown
