The Lady

Written by: Broken Wings

Tis a beautiful woman this Lady of Shalott Cursed to live in a tower, to only view the world thru a mirror All day, all night does she weave tapestries of the scenes She sees in her mirror of travellers on their way to Camelot "I am half sick of the shadows," says the Lady of Shalott Sir Lancelot she sees and defying the curse, she looks That mirror instantly cracks and the room does shake In the dark of night she leaves the tower and steals a boat With a tapestry trailing in the water and hair wet to her waist The Lady travels down the river to Camelot and Sir Lancelot Alas, during the night she dies and on the shores of Camelot is found Sir Lancelot gazes at her, "she has a lovely face"
