MY EYES HAVE SEEN

Written by: Jeffrey Lee

Every morning I give thanks to God for opening my eyes
That look upon the heavens’ the secret skies
We walk by faith, and not by sight;
My mind captures the picture of an eternal flight
I never ignore the obvious
Not knowing what’s about to happen keeps me nervous
I do things rash and too fast
Without thinking or learning from the past
I've seen this I've seen that
There‘s nothing I can't see
 I've seen everything but me
I’ve seen my lust and hate
I have to catch my breath, I exasperate
Food for thought only God is great
We all fall short of God’s glory, everyone makes mistakes
You should know your fate if you’re consumed by hate
Let it go and love each other before it’s too late
How many people must go blind for us to open our eyes?
Yet every day I see evil, jealousy, and despise
Do you see what I see and feel what I feel
Do you see and feel my pain isn’t it just too real

The common eye sees only the outside of things, and judges by that, but the seeing eye pierces through and reads the heart and the soul, finding there capacities which the outside didn't indicate or promise, and which the other kind couldn't detect. MARK TWAIN
