Through the Ages

Written by: Caroline C├ęcile Delacroix

The ice age has long gone A history of pain and abandon The world is tired of all the strain The hatred has melted away The new age has been born Colors of love has adorned The skies of humanity Yet we still felt the enmity Of the past winter, so harsh It had been and all have starved For the age of fortune But realized it is an opportune That I must take To ensure it is in the make Spring rains may have drenched us But with them, quenched is our thirst For the Source of that love Has been found coming from above Like the sun that suddenly broke through A sky charged with so much gloom And we feel deeply the rebirth That comes with Spring's mirth And around the corner Approaches the age of Summer.
