So Long, Lucinda

So Long, Lucinda

Cut you off once again
This time it’s for good my friend
Not another chance
Not another dance, pulling my strings
The scissors left blisters that will heal
But they were never really real

Not taking it back this time
Only guilty of an innocent crime
So I’ll wear your suit of hearsay
Moving’s a chore with fit that’s so poor
But I’ll have no problem walking away
The light of truth will break your youth
But I will be forever Young

Could hurt myself again, just to get back at you
But that won’t do
Besides, I made a promise to myself
Pain isn’t good for health
So I’ll heal a broken heart with art

So long, Lucinda
Thought you were my friend
Won’t stick around this time
To let you do me wrong again
It hurts so much to say
It has to be this way
But choosing heartbreak over insanity
Is just a small Price to pay…
