Go Not Whence, Go On

Written by: sidewalker 1

The raven cries; the sparrow sings the dawn.
Sadness reigns afore, hope hence.
Go not whence, go on.

Tear not at love, a tender mist soon gone.
Nor weigh our burdened hearts, immense.
The raven cries; the sparrow sings the dawn.

Though fear the wolf, does bearer of the fawn.
To life she stands in vigilant defence.
Go not whence, go on.

In wonder, humble larva look upon.
Our blessed fall gifts riveting suspense.
The raven cries; the sparrow sings the dawn.

The fabled duckling cast, esteemed as swan.
Enigma! Laugh at nature's merry sense.
Go not whence, go on.

In rainbow strokes tomorrow's dream is drawn
To pundits past, to poets future tense.
The raven cries; the sparrow sings the dawn.
Go not whence...go on.
