The Song Writer

Written by: Ann Anderson

You look deep into his eyes,
you see he's witnessed a lot,
he's tasted good times pleasures,
the taste sometimes to his loss.

His mother she disowned him,
said son you've darkened my door,
your presence is no longer needed
go away, don't shame us no-more.

With a heavy heart breaking,
a head that was scuffing the ground,
he picked up is battered old guitar
and headed for nashvilles sound.

To cut a long story short,
the man is a genius to word,
he chased his dream like a dragon,
he persisted until he was heard.
