Different Kind of Man

I used to wish I could be a macho man
I guess for me it's not part of the plan
More friends are ladies, than other guys
Being with women I don't need a disguise

Sometimes I wonder, if I'm missing out
yet I'm true to myself, I know what l'm about
Feelings more important than watching the game
I know I'm different and there is no one to blame

In the end I am quite happy with this life
I have a wonderful son and a loving wife
Perhaps I'm an enigma because I don't drink
I'm less about bravado I'm more prone to think

I was never the bad boy who did crazy things
Still with my imagination, I fly on strong wings
Me being a man is still the best gift of all
I don't need to be the same, in order to walk tall

For me I've found brothers who think I'm okay
They let me be me and say what I want to say
In the end let us celebrate all man kind
Each is different you never know what you'll find

Only one day, didn't the shoes fit?? Interesting poem, nicely laid out, and a pleasure to read. Fascinating content, being one who writes I can see so much of myself in there. Best of luck with the comp.

I like how this conveys the words of a gentleman & I learned a new idiom: "walk tall." I'm as happy as a peacock. I certainly enjoyed reading this poem. I Thank you for your criticism as well.
