MY VERY BEST FRIEND

<
MY VERY BEST FRIEND
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

WHEN I NEEDED WARMTH SOMEHOW SHE KNEW
WHEN I WAS LONELY SHE ALWAYS CAME THROUGH
WHEN I WAS RUNNING AMOK AND OUT OF CONTROL
SHE SET ME STRAIGHT AND GAVE ME A GOAL
WHEN I WAS OVERWHELMED AND WANTED TO QUIT
SHE PUT HER FOOT DOWN WOULDN’T HAVE ANY OF IT
I’M A MAN NOW MATURE, CIVIL AND USUALLY CALM
I COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT, WITHOUT MY FRIEND,
MY VERY BEST FRIEND, MY MOM>
