Janey 16 Days

You were the color among all the gray
Words left unsaid so much I have to say
Your wings that spread kindness I can't see
Since you flew away whole again I can't be
You were my true savior my only light
Shined you always did ever so bright
Never afraid to rattle someone or fight
And all the memories flood my mind tonight
Unconditional bond tied tight together
A loss of hope and happiness so deep
So long I've searched by there's no other
My mind does wonder if you know I still weep
Janey so many close used to call you
Stories you shared with me when you wanted
The way you spoke I knew they were true
These tales and you my memory they haunted
Like a guardian angel to protect me forever
To try and forget you and them I could never
Sixteen days which existence has come to an end
Yet are still here and hard for me they all have been
Your blessed light you inherited right onto me
The only way I can still see you is in my dream
