Can'T Let Go
Today I awoke by the sound of your voice whispering to me through the musical magic of the wind.
I smiled, and quickly opened my eyes to try and catch a glimpse of your face, but just that fast you were gone and I returned to the solitude of my loneliness.
You know it's hard; being without you is the one thing that I was not prepared for.
For just like flowers wither and lose their beauty, so am I each day that I'm without you.
I call out your name looking for comfort in the sound of your laughter, with your presence lingering all around me, I try and get closer to you; but the closer I get to you the farther I drift into my sorrows. Why did you leave me? Was the depth of your pain deeper than the ties we've shared our whole lives? Was the selfish act a cry for help gone wrong? Somebody please; tell me why I have to live in guilt and sorrow because you wanted to be FREE! For now all I can do is hope; Hope for understanding, hope for reassurance, hope that I can stop being angry, hope for faith to come into my heart, and hope that time doesn't continue to stand still. I confess that I don't know how to move on, and I can't let go, but for the rest of my life....Your reasons I may never know!
