Without a Goodnight Kiss
The time I saw you I knew what it was
You looked at me, electricity rushed
To hide it away I behaved with sass
Then you laughed, different emotions flushed
Same night I heard a knock on my door
I opened it and it’s you that I saw
Because I was shy I stared at the floor
But you were just staring at me with awe
You stepped inside drew nearer and nearer
We did not speak, the words remained unsaid
Things just needed to be a bit clearer
I woke up alone in a hard cold bed
No! Not love, maybe infatuation
Or was it just my imagination?
