Angels On My Side!
Something withered in my heart ,
Happiness of the soul had to depart ,
Shattered ! Bruised ! Devasted ! Hurt !
Why destiny played a flirt ?
Then, moved to see whose standing beside ,
And... I found angels on my side !!!
Stood there queued up for my turn ,
But life had its way to churn ...
Me out of the race
But did i lose my hope or pace ?
Knew not long my moment could hide !
'cause i had angels on my side !!!
Steering through the sea of indifference ,
No touch of warmth or reference !
Witnessing one stamping on another's goal ,
How ' the shine ' rules over the soul !
Still ...Taking things in my stride !
As there where angels on my side !!!
Here i am, living my dream ,
Not so lonesome as it may seem !
Gone through the pain, in an irony ...
Sung a melancholy tune with much symphony !
Everytime life brought me to a different side,
Yeah ! I had angels on my side !!!
