Delusive

Delusion seeded a thought to have truth undone
Working on gravity, to pull everything down
Lost in the plot, stories wound up accusing
The audience circling tight, to growing indignation

Truth rebelled then, to grow wings of her own
Spreading her freedom to hang the future
Circling right back to romance the impossible
Turning her dreams into fragile possibilities

Her fragility gallops on the unicorn’s map
Paths charted on the phantom’s trail
The distant voice of restraint thrown to caution
Truth has her stories guarded, away from reality

Layers of a mind, turning cart-wheels
The seat of reason, tongue-in-cheek
Colors vibrant, they wink thru Truth’s smile
Turning psychedelic on Delusion’s sad stories…

For me, the poem struck home on the last line . . . my old friend, Delusion, giving me my drug of choice . . . LSD Lies, Seduction, Death . . . the rainbow of colors crashing upon the floor of truth. Outstanding dear Bindu . . . deep and haunting. 7

Bindu, delusion and truth cannot always be cast in black and white and as opposites. human perception has its limitations to distinguish them in their grey assimilation when even delusion is truth itself. Mohan

Hi Bindu! This poem is deep in thought, and it's far from delusive! On the contrary it serves to make us think and reason things out. Truth is a winner...it cannot fail to finish on top, although at times we tend to twist it around to satisfy ourselves or put a hidden agenda into motion. #7 // paul

A rather unique intake on delusion, it's like you found out all her secrets and exposed them in truth, much to read between the lines here, I really enjoyed this smart write, though smart has nothing to do with the heart, even fools fall in love, take care dear heart xxx

Bindu.. I'm thrilled with what you've done here, much more than describe, you've made me FEEL this tension between Truth and Delusion. I love when a pen has power over me.. Yours does!

" I know one thing, that I know nothing." Socrates, Greek Philosopher 469-399 BC. "No man has ever perceived the truth, neither anyone in the future will know it, only opinion of things have we for the reality of things!" Xenophanes, Greek philosopher 570- 475 BC. Truth however is absolute and is known only to the Divine. In the degree a man approaches the divine, he also approaches the truth! A philosophical poem of deep meaning. A seven! Excellent work! Have a look at my poem"The Truth"

Bindu...this is an interesting poem about truth and delusion...where does one start and where does one end? This is very subjective as truth can be seen with different eyes by different people. That goes back to the story of those blind men and the elephant...each touched the elephant and described different parts concluding that the elephant was much like a wall...or a snake..or... Each sure he was right. Is truth relative...is it absolute? Your poems of late seem to be centered on this theme. Intriguing, indeed.
