Away

Ever since we had met that one day,
I knew deep down I'd be crazy for you.
We've chatted together for years now,
Although we've only met just recently.
After those long talks each night,
We've gotten to know one another more.
And that time we walked on the grand boulevard,
Made me realize how much I needed you so.
But you had to leave; you had to go home.
And ever since you were gone, I knew that
This was only the end of a new beginning.
You've gone away, away back at home.
Yet, still close by you will be,
Right here, in my quick beating heart.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
