I Love You---I Really Do

I notice that your calls are beginning
To come few and far between.
Considering everything we've been through
I think that's a bit extreme.
Do you know what I do when I don't hear from you?
I make my favorite stew.
I throw some special herbs into a pot
(eye of newt, dragon snoot, and anything else I've got).
Then I stir, and stir, and stir a lot,
And all the while, I think of you.

By the way,
Have you noticed anything peculiar lately?
Is your hair turning grayer?
Is it getting a little thin?
Are those clothes you bought last week
Harder to get in?
And that young girl across the way---
The one you make passes at---
Did she laugh at you today?
If so,
I have a suggestion for you.
You remember my number, don't you Boo?
Pick up the phone and dial 312.........
And never forget,
I love you. I really do.

This jerks at our funny bone in innocent fun, playing around on a lover with an attitude. You have fun with this piece from start to finish and it brings a smile to my day. Emile. #7
