The Inside of Failure

When things go wrong
as they seldom will,
When the road your on
seems to be all up hill.
When the funds are low
and the debts are high,
you want to smile
but can only sigh.
When care is pressing
you down just abit,
rest if you must
but do not quit.

Life is strange
with it's twist and turns,
as we all in life
will surely learn.
Many of failure
turns us about,
When we might have won
if we just stuck it out.
Don't give up
when all seems slow,
you may succeed
with just one more blow.

Success is failure
turned inside out,
only the silver tint
from the clouds of doubt.
You never can tell
how close you are,
but it may be near
even when seems so far.
So stick to the fight
when you are hardest hit-
It's those times that seem hard
that you should never up and quit.

Thank you for the encouragement
To my brother mike; your the best!!!!

Great poem with words of wisdom and a wonderful dedication to your brother! I do hope you'll be posting new poetry soon...thank you for your kind comments and compliments on my poem, A Woman's Only Friend. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm actually not bothered by people asking for money. It's the smoking in public places that gets under my skin especially when my young son is with me. We all have our pet peeved, I guess. Best wishes to you and yours. Love and Blessings, Rhonda

Dave, You must be famous. I have heard this poem before. Please don't think I would ever do anything to myself. I haven't felt that low in many many years now. And even when I did God wouldn't let me go home. I was just trying to see if I could write about pain when I was at a good place in my life. Oh, and Dave, thank you so much for your concern and offer to help. Most people wouldn't be so kind. Great poem!!!! Karen

Dave, You must be famous. I have heard this poem somewhere before. Please don't think I would ever do anything to myself. I haven't felt that low in many many years now. And even when I did God wouldn't let me go home. I was just trying to see if I could write about pain when I was at a good place in my life. Up until this past week I hadn't written anything in years. I was just trying to try a little bit of everything. I am quite rusty as you can tell from my poems but I'll get there again. Oh, and Dave, thank you so much for your concern and offer to help. Most people wouldn't be so kind. Great poem!!!! Karen

David, Thanks for your kind commets on "No Measure of Time", for taking the time to read it. Reading you uplifts the spirit..something most of us can appreciate. Times can be tough but I believe we are never alone...besides our God, who loves us, unconditionally; we have family, like your brother, Mike, and sometimes, a friend, who also "stand" for us. Thanks for sharing your message..just hold on. Have a great week. Love, Annalise
