Giving yourself over to everything
Good and wondering why
God doesn’t believe in you but your faith has been
Gone since the first moment a boy
Grabbed you by the waist and said,
“God, I love your face.” And from that day love became a
Game, trying to get all the boys and
Girls you can to claim you as their deity,
Grovel at your feet, worship you.
Gathering love poems and hearts like you collect the
Garbage but my dear you can’t be
God if you don’t even believe in yourself.
Greed can only hide your
Guilt for so long, guilt at becoming a false idol but you were
Godless and they were all so, so
Gullible. You just wanted to be
Good after all, and that’s not a sin, is it?
Go. Tell all your lovers that what they have to
Give means nothing, love means nothing,
Goodness means nothing because you have nothing left to believe in.
