Oh so patiently waiting for the time
That a trustworthy hand can be holding mine
I often wonder I wonder when
Will I become with someone an item

True love is something I write about
But it has always escaped me I really doubt
Apart from Gods love I will ever find
Someone to be his and him to be mine

The years are passing so quickly now
Will it happen I wonder how
For time take its toll on body and mind
Will I ever find someone loving and kind

Oh so patiently waiting for the time
Will that trustworthy hand ever hold mine?
