The Father

In the Youth of my life
I taught by the Cobbles
Near the beach

But now I wonder
If I really taught

I wonder as well
But there is no time
To wonder
You must work!

Work until the air leaves your lungs
The last breathe is drawn from your lips
Your heart gives in

I wonder if I taught
By the Cobbles
