My Dear Children
My dear children you are fast growing into women
Always know that my love is unconditional and comes from deep within
Many miles, hills, valleys, mountains, and streams
Separate us but, one day we'll be together-not just in our dreams
Choices were made under much duress, pain and immeasurable grief
Death's silent kiss came and stole members of our family as does a thief
This hurt you all are feeling one day shall loosen its grip
You'll never forget all that's been lost, memories will cause tears to slip
Each night look to that farthest southern star, that's shining bright
Think of me and I'm there twinkling each and every night
Stay strong, be kind- keep the faith of that better tomorrow
Have hope and dreams-wishes and courage-they'll help lessen the sorrow
Take each day as it does come--never look to the future too far
Remember my darlings, my daughters, always wish on that southern yonder star
