Alfred Vassallo born 11th April 1956 in Sliema, Malta Alfred (known as Freddie) produced and directed several plays as a semi-professional. His productions included amongst others: "The Exorcism", "Equus", "Night Must Fall", "Who Killed Agatha Christie", "The Island", "Night Mother", "Who's On First" and "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs." were held at The Manoel Theatre, the national theatre of Malta.
He also was employed by the Colchester Co-Operative drama group "Scene Around" as a director. The Co-Op drama group produced several plays also took part in two drama festivals in Colchester and Ipswich finished 2nd on both
productions which were "Just a Song at Twilight" and "Savoury Meringue".
He wrote various radio plays and documentaries for radio, and poetry. Also wrote Lyrics to "I Am All Alone" sung by Keith Russell.
Alfred maintains that he is not a ‘True’ poet he doesn’t follow any particular poetry styles. True Poetry is piece of literature written by a poet in meter or verse expressing various emotions which are expressed by the use of variety of different techniques including metaphors, similes and onomatopoeia.
His latest book “In Search of a Pessimist” has been published in October, in January 2013 “In Search of Crazed Love” followed it; with “Epigram Cures The Soul”, “Cinquain Cures The Soul”, “Couplet Cures The Soul”, “Vers Libre Cures The Soul”, “Haiku Cures The Soul”, “Naani Cures The Soul”, “Quatrain Cures The Soul”, “Quatrain More Cures The Soul”, and “Tanka Cures The Soul” are also published on Amazon Kindle alongside and “I Killed Hercule Poroit” a comedy thriller in 2 acts and "I Was Jeshua Friend" a historical Drama in two acts.
