My Biography

Bloggers PhotoGreetings, from the Great State of Georgia.  I was born on 17 March 1943 in Dublin, Georgia.  I graduated from East Laurens High School and joined the Air Force in 1963.  I spent twenty years working in the Chaplain Career Field in an administrative capacity.  I retired in 1983 and returned to my roots in 1986.  I worked for 23 years at the VA Medical Center as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Pharmacy and retire on 1 April 2009.  I have four children (two of my own, and two wonderful step-daughters).  My daughter, Rachel and her husband, Dwayne have no children.  My son Jon and his wife, Carra, have three children.  My step0daughter, Christy and her husband, Rob, have no children.  My step-daughter, Ginger and her husband, Jason, have two children.  We have 5 grandchildren and a 14 year old retriever named Cream Puff.  We live in the country, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.  My wife and I are enjoying retirement and hope to grow old (very old) together.  I enjoy yard work and am being self-taught to do woodwork.  My real hobby is writing and being a member of Poetry Soup.
