The Yeti

Today I flew over the mountains,
and came upon a lake;
I came upon a yeti,
he said his name was Jake.
He looked like he was scared,
like he had seen a ghost,
he told me he was sad,
for he was feared by most.
He was a gentle creature,
and never one to boast.
Poor Jake was just a yeti,
stuck up on his post.
I told him that I’d feared him,
but he was one cool guy;
he suddenly got real happy,
and jumped up in the sky.
There is something grand about
knowing you are not alone,
and having learned my lesson,
I flew on back to home.
