Moonlight Lake

Trembling through a way of written names
A name among others… a name crying for me
Clueless I am, yet I know something waits
Waits for me to call it… but my voice is shut
Shut with my cowardice for I can’t face truth
A wind blows in a narrow cliff singing tones

I stand there staring... is there anyone near?
It’s painful, unbearable, yet still I hide it in
Once we are wounded there would be this fear
A fear inside of us, a fear not to be wounded again
A scar bears the everlasting pain inside my heart
The bleeding had ceased, yet the scar remains

A scar of a heroic battle, a battle I failed in
A wounded wolf running through the night
Running through a river stained with blood
Blood running down its legs through the wound
The wound of an immortal scar… a big scar
With the cold wind striking its back while escaping

Escaping to a dim fissure of reflected moonlight
A blue light reflected on a lake through the narrow path
A light that heals the wolf… it heals yet leaves the scar
Leaves the pain inside… leaves the sorrow of the past
Leaves the memories haunting… leaves nothing but regrets
A memory shines through its mind… yet neglected and ignored

A memory sealing the wolf… imprisoning it in the past
Leashing the feared beast in a hollow path… all the time
Leashing it in a divine path leading to annihilation…
A wolf craving for one moment… the moment that stayed
Stayed forevermore inside its mind, the moment that hurts most
Just one last chance… just one try… just one second out of its life

The lake reflecting the moon shone on its face… it touched it
The wolf stared at the moon… sinking in the farthest depths
Staring, it realized that one last chance remains… just one
A chance that shall never be undone… a chance from the past
It jumped towards the shining moon to reach heavens…
It jumped into the depths of the moonlight lake… and healed the pain…
