At the End

We give up the world,
her beauty, charm
And all the things
which fade away
We know the end is near.
Uncertain of when
and how the end will be,
We try to hide the fear of pain
And dread to be a burden
should we need care.

Dear God!
“Take into your loving arms,
all those who cannot cope with life.
Take by the hand the ones that cannot see.
and lost their way.
I tried my best and was not always right.
With my last breath,
I love and care,
for all that walk astray.
Whatever will become of me?
I do not know.
Perhaps another world
where angels dwell?
A world wherefrom
I must return.
Perhaps, life here is all that is.
Blending with soul becomes reality
I seek no more

“In you, dear God, I trust”
