Anger in Me
I hid this anger me,
I didn't even see how it dwelled deep inside.
I tried to be perfect with the situation,
accepting everything that he did,
but now I must say...
this anger in me wants to be displayed.
One trigger,
that's all it needed.
A reminder of all the times he abused
my willingness to just sit back and take it.
I never told him all the tears I cried,
but now I must say...
these tears want their story told.
This is something that freed me,
to see what hid deep inside.
Now I can keep it from growing.
I know a darkness that tried to hide deep within,
but now I must say...
I know to step back and let God take this anger away.
