Shutters

When screaming silence
invades,
this hand that captures thoughts.

In doubt of worth,
when nothing is still more
than me,

I take
pain,
I take
life

and twist their melody
to danse macabre.

~~~~~~
Shutters closed upon dawn,
I breathe darkness,
taste injustice, spit bile
upon virgin sheets.
Satisfy this void,
and shutters rise
to greet myself.
