Poet's Notes About The Poem
(Show Details...)

I went for the earliest morning walk with my dog... and saw during sunrise (06.30) the little 'bonsai" in that hole.. and planned to return later so I could make a better picture with the sun shining 'on the spot'
Returning only three hours later.... the illustrating pictures.

Bye bye little bonsai

after many autumn storms
blown down huge ancient oak tree
her crater revealing roots
and a small tree branch

growing in that dry gray hole
I still see her leaves waving
attached to that tall thin trunk
such gorgeous small tree

the stillness rudely disturbed
mighty machines roar like lions
the ancient stump fills the gap
kills mighty bonsai

Hi Elly, This poem, was terrific and amazing... ... by the way I have something to say to all who supported my ANY POEM # 19 contest. Shame on me, Shame on me! Please forgive me, for not taking the time, to CONGRATULATE and adore all the winning poems for a second or third time. I AM VERY LATE:(-- I was a little mad at the world. However, this is my winning list, I will give everyone the same love and support. I'm dropping by with a Copy Paste note from the bottom of my heart. I am sorry, it's not like me, to walk away, as if nothing. Truly, I appreciate every winning poem, and HM. LOVE

This made me think of my oak 'bush' I told you about. I am waiting for it to leaf out to get a pic and send it to you
