The Universe Will Do

What do I ask of thee divine?
A semblance of value?
A frequency some say,
a simple cue of when to
start to ask my soul’s
validation?

It was ill timed at the reception,
their mirrors sucked me in,
my teeth were loose,
to spite the smile on my face..
But Still, I ran my tongue along the
middle class facade;
they billet now
the forces true,
and set the spirit high..
Now,
a valid stance took eye,
a scout for God’s sweet envy,
squinting hard as flint,
A spark,
this night to set a sequence free
a promise all to see,
for what we breathe and used to be,
for what we seek to know,
for what we wish were true,
for what we hold within our arms,
the Universe will do…
