transit

living in back street
sweaty huddles
sloppy scenic alleys
dumpster dinning
all alone

talked of ruling the
streets ,not the
streets ruling you
barefoot no shoe
cardboard condo

family has not heard
from you in years
you without a clue
tears ran like rivers
hoping you would be
delivered

how I found you , by
chance by glance
12 stepping someone
and there you are
huddled with your
short dog

I feed you loved you
gave you hope
gave you a shower
socks, shoes
something to eat
when my back was
turned you hit the
street

I remember the smile
your smile
your wit
your gone
let you sleep
