I could sit here writing songs
From now until forever
I could let the words flow out
And me thinks I would never
Run out of words, it can’t be done
Cause me I am the word man
But if these words did fade away
I’ll just write while I can.
I love to make these word patterns
And try to give them meaning
Then they might act just like a light
With all its rays a beaming
So as you read them you’ll light up
Just like a Christmas tree
Then your minds might gain new depth
All through these words from me.
This it be my one ambition
To get through to everyone
With words of sweetness, words of truth
And when my work be done
They’ll say that I did leave my mark
And caused some inspiration
At least from one or two or three
With the depth of my creations.
