Walking in the bush lands

Walking In the bush lands.

I’m walking in the bush lands
At the back of where I live
I’ve got my old dog by my side
These walks, such joy they give.
I was going to walk down to the lake
That’s about an hour away
But then I saw the sky was cloudy
And looking very grey.

So I says to my dog Sherry
“Old pal, we’re turning back”
So we turned our backs and walked back home
Through that sandy old bush track.
It was then I heard the bushes move
And I saw two Kangaroos
They looked at me, and my dog sherry
 And they seemed quite confused.

They crashed into the bush lands
But their curiosity
It made them stop just down the track
And stare at the dog, and me.
Old Sherry went to chase them off
But I told her sternly “No”
And so the roos they turned about
And off the pair did go

But Lord it gave me heaps of joy
To know that these grand beasts
Are still around the place I live
For a little while at least
But soon lord progress will catch up
And all these beasts will die
This is what we humans do
It makes me want to cry

Hi Peter, another excellent write. What a beautiful place Australia Is. Isn't It strange how man always manages to destroy all around him and call it progress. I'm with you Peter, at the end, it can bring tears from the eyes. As always Peter your writes give light to the reader, we see the world through your eyes and it brings peace. It Is so sad that one day there shall be no roos. At least at the moment you still see the bounty of Australia. Have a good day. Later. Your Friend alway....MIKE.

Hi Michael. The human world is a really ugly one, he way it destroys my beloved nature. Some time I could cry cause we are so very helpless to do anything about it. Most of the zombis who walk around the streets could not care less, and vote for the party who will get them the most money. It is sad....I appreciate your comments, as always , my friend....peter

Thank you Vincent, yes it is sad, I used to walk a few yards from my house and watch these beautiful marsupials feed. Now it is all houses where they were. I appreciate your kind comments, my friend....peter

Nice write Peter Australia must be a beautiful and wonderful land. Sad when nature has to suffer because of man's progress or so called progress. Take care.

So poignant and sadly true. I think the future will be a formidable place to be. A very heartfelt and scary vision
