I think this is a marvelous poem. Very inspirational. It stands out from so many others, impressing me in a way that is seldom experienced. The message resonates with me and a poem I have that is in production and which will be made better for what you have written. Congratulations on your win.

A great poem Catie. I love the repetition at the end, and the lines "who sees no life, reaching for death, the spirit within finds it's breath." It is true, people are reaching for darkness as an answer instead of turning to the light to heal the world. I certainly hope this trend reverses this year, thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Tim. I see things a little differently than your prospective, as I see that on our planet, there are more light bearers than ever before in history. Perhaps that is why evil raises it's ugly head in vengeance...

During these times, we all need inspiring words, poems such as yours, Catie. This is so comforting. Today, in homily, one word has stuck with me: theotokos. Not sure if I spelled it right, but it means, God bearer. The priest was saying, we should all be God bearers... Spread the love, the forgiveness, we will overcome, with God in our lives. Sorry to hear about your car, btw.. My computer's still broken too... Catch up with you soon. Btw so nice you did this in Connie's form! Bravo!

Oh, hon, I so needed this tonight. I'm worn out from this flu... it's clinging. This poem is so light-filled. I loved the "come and sit down by my fire" YES. You are always such a warm glow here... Hope you have a good new years... you deserve happiness, toots. I'm also down right now... very down. a young boy drowned in town this week... they haven't recovered him yet. Only five. lost through the ice on the river. So much sadness out here.. I feel adrift, but this poem helped so much. xoxox

Oh Cyndi, the news of the little boy just breaks my heart. My God, what his mother must be going through. I will keep them in my prayers. I know others who have that flu too, yes, it seems unending, but it will pass...eventually. :) I do hope you are feeling better soon, I will keep you in my prayers too. Happy New Year! Love and hugs, Catie :)
